Former NFL running back Trent Richardson is back playing football in America.  He’s toting the rock for the Birmingham Iron of the AAF.

It’s a new league and another shot for Richardson to play football, but it’s the same old underachieving Trent.  He fumbled in his first game back.

There’s a reason Richardson hasn’t been given another shot at playing in the NFL and it isn’t physical gifts.  He has plenty of those.  

Richardson just doesn’t have the mental toughness needed to make the most of those gifts.
