Former Astros manager A.J. Hinch spoke publicly about the cheating scandal that cost him his job for the first time. His interview with the MLB Network’s Tom Verducci aired on Friday evening and had a couple of interesting moments.
After not denying that the Astros championship in 2017 is tainted in the teaser for the interview, Hinch didn’t deny that his players were wearing buzzers in 2019 either.

Instead of answering the yes or no question with one of those options, Hinch pointed to the commissioner’s office’s investigation, which didn’t find any evidence of buzzers.
