All indications are that the Patriots plan to add a quarterback through the draft.

New England’s lack of cap space makes it unlikely they will add a veteran like Cam Newton or Jameis Winston.  Add that to the fact that they recently released third string quarterback Cody Kessler and it appears as if they’re planning to draft a quarterback.

The only question is what round.  Bill Belichick has a knack for seeing things others don’t and that appears to be the case with this year’s draft class.

The Patriots held a videoconference meeting recently with Florida International quarterback James Morgan.
