FAU Head Coach Lane Kiffin has offered a quarterback a scholarship, someone that he may be thinking about down the road, an 11-year-old.
Cole Leinart, the son of Matt Leinart, a 5-foot-7 sixth-grader, now holds an offer from Florida Atlantic, ESPN confirmed.
Kiffin has a relationship with the older Leinart from their time at USC, where Kiffin was the wide receivers coach and then the offensive coordinator for Leinart’s final season with the Trojans.
The NCAA doesn’t truly recognize football players as prospects until their ninth-grade year.
However this kid does have a cannon of an arm, so wise of Lane to try and lock him down.
He’s 10 years old ???https://t.co/Wxnp9vsC1n

This is Matt Leinart’s son Cole. He’s already 5-7 and has a huge arm. Hasn’t turned 12 yet.. Shocked that Lane Kiffin and FAU haven’t already offered him. pic.twitter.com/5urEQM58XL
