The results of Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs’ autopsy were released on Friday and revealed that the 27-year-old died of a drug and alcohol overdose on July 1st. The family released a statement after the results were made public and his drug use was news to them.
In their statement the family said that they have hired an attorney to investigate the matter (this fact was for some reason omitted from KTLA’s version of the family statement).
They seem to be implying that an Angels employee may have provided Skaggs with the drugs.
