Ravens first-round pick Hayden Hurst, who was traded to the Falcons earlier this month, revealed in an article posted on The Players’ Tribune that he once attempted suicide.

The 26-year-old talked about the difficult time in his life, just four years ago, when he attempted suicide by cutting his wrists.  He also revealed in the piece that he had an an uncle and cousin commit suicide.

Hurst has obviously overcome what led him to attempt suicide, but it’s these kinds of articles that can help someone else who might be struggling as he was.
