ESPN spotted a sleeping fan at the North Carolina and Oregon State College World Series elimination game.  So naturally they sent sideline reporter Laura Rutledge out to investigate.

What took place was some of Rutledge’s finest work to date.  She posted up a row in front of the man and confirmed he was alive and that his name was Tim.  She then reported that he must have had a long day at the ballpark.

Truly groundbreaking stuff.  If this footage doesn’t win some sort of an award it will be truly a shame.

Oregon State would end up winning the game 11-6 and eliminate North Carolina from the tournament.
