The Houston Rockets and the NBA is scrambling to repair their relationship with China. This after Rockets GM Daryl Morey tweeted out support for Hong Kong, who is currently protesting against China.
According to reports, ESPN sent a memo out that told shows to avoid discussing the politics surrounding Morey’s tweet. Which leaves a significant part of the story out.
It also helps protect ESPN’s business with China. They, just like the NBA, are willing to turn a blind eye to certain things if it’s going to hurt their money. It’s all part of doing business.
