ESPN continues to circle the drain.  While their programming has increasingly turned a lot of people off, they still are relied upon to deliver a lot of live sporting events.  Now they’re messing with live sporting events.  

Last night ESPN cut to a commercial at the very moment the Lakers attempted what would have been a game winning shot.  The botched commercial break ended after the shot was missed and the game headed to overtime.

The Lakers would win the game fairly easily in overtime 122-112, handing the Spurs another loss.

What is going on with the Worldwide Leader in Sports?  Was this a mistake or a carefully crafted moment to get them some quick and easy viral headlines?
