Ernie Johnson was notably absent from “The Match: Champions for Charity” broadcast on Sunday. The event was a carried by Turner and one of their lead broadcasters had a very good reason for skipping the event.
Johnson shared that reason in a heartfelt message about sports and the current pandemic. Anyone who knows his personal story knows exactly why he choose to skip the event.
Johnson has a 31-year-old son, Michael, who is in need of 24 hour care and has been on a ventilator for nine years.
