With runners on first and third in the bottom of the first inning of the A’s and Rangers game, Oakland tried to catch the runner at first sleeping. The pickoff attempt turned into a run when Elvis Andrus caught the A’s sleeping and stole home on the play.
The steal of home broke a 1-1 tie. It’s the 5th time in Andrus’ career that he has pulled off a steal of home. That is the most by any active player.
