Earl Thomas: “I don’t know if they were joking or not. I was just minding my business, doing my routine and they came up and a couple of guys said something.” https://t.co/PtOtislMno

The Cowboys coaches could have very easily been joking with Thomas due to the rumors that Dallas was still trying to trade for him. Also possible is the two teams have a verbal agreement in place already.
Judging by the result of the game and the fact that Thomas had two interceptions during it, the Cowboys are probably wishing their trade offer for Thomas during the preseason was accepted.
