Nick Foles put his cape on at the end of the season and took the Eagles to the playoffs after starter Carson Wentz went down with another injury.
There was an incentive in his contract that paid him $1 million if he played in 33% of the Eagles regular season snaps.
Foles fell just four snaps shy of reaching that mark. On Saturday morning it was reported, that to make up for missing out on the incentive, the Eagles paid him a $1 million playoff bonus.
Source: the Eagles have paid QB Nick Foles a $1M signing bonus to account for the incentive he missed out on by just four snaps earned by Philly making the playoffs and Foles playing 33% of the snaps. Philly does right by the clutch QB.

The Eagles did the right thing here. It comes just a few weeks before they pull the quarterback job out from under him and hand it to the man made of glass.
In the end it should work out financially for Foles, even if he ends up on a less talented team.
