Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers fined $50,000 for saying Kawhi Leonard is the “most Jordan-like” we’ve seen.
Clippers obviously have been aggressively pursuing Leonard ahead of free agency all year.
Magic Johnson, Stephen A. Smith, Michael Wilbon and Doc Rivers previewed the Toronto Raptors vs. Golden State Warriors matchup in the 2019 NBA Finals, with Rivers saying Kawhi Leonard is the “most like” Michael Jordan that he’s seen.
Now the NBA has dished out a fine to the Los Angeles Clippers coach for those comments.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been fined $50,000 by NBA for violating the league’s anti-tampering rule when Doc Rivers publicly commented on Kawhi Leonard.

For his Jordan comparisons?
That’s kind of weak.
Didn’t think that was a big deal myself. All he did was say how good he was. When coaches can’t make comments on how good a player is, it’s become a little bit ridiculous.
