Saints receiver Dez Bryant, who signed with the team earlier this week, left Friday’s practice early with what New Orleans fears could be a torn Achilles tendon. He was taken to get an MRI and a second opinion on the injury.

According to reports, Bryant was running a routine route at the time of the injury. If it is confirmed to be a torn Achilles, his season will be over before it ever started.
Sources informed tell me Dez Bryant was coming out of a routine route when it happened. This is sickening for a guy who waited so long for the right fit https://t.co/Pb2tKVdBP0

You hate to hear about a guy suffering a major injury. And there’s no way Jerry Jones wished an injury on Bryant, but news of the injury had to put a smile on his face.
From our breaking news segment on @nflnetwork: The #Saints likely lost WR Dez Bryant for the season before his began. A torn Achilles is the initial diagnosis, but he's getting an MRI. pic.twitter.com/bamIE75kaO
