The Texans picked up quarterback Deshaun Watson’s fifth-year option and hope to lock him up with a long-term extension. The extension could come with a significant pay raise.
The raise could make him the highest player in NFL history. The Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson is reporting that an extension could between $40-42 million annually.
