Deshaun Watson, who was passed on by the Bears in the 2017 draft in favor of Mitchell Trubisky, appears to have been caught in a lie. On Friday night the Texans quarterback said that the Bears “never once talked” to him before the draft.
The folks over at “The Rich Eisen Show” dug up an interview Watson did back in 2017. He listed off the teams that had reached out to him, the Bears were on the list.
Watson’s list of teams included the Chiefs, Browns, Jaguars, 49ers, Cardinals, Texans, Jets, Bills, Ravens and Bears.
