Buccaneers receiver DeSean Jackson unveiled Black Lives Matter and Rodney King cleats on his Instagram story. The assumption is that he plans to wear the cleats for Tampa Bay’s Week 12 matchup against the 49ers.
In addition to the Black Lives Matter slogan and a picture of Rodney King’s face, the cleats feature the street signs of Normandie and Florence Avenues, the place where the 1992 Los Angeles riots started in response to Kong’s beating at the hands of police.
We can’t wait for Britt McHenry and Clay Travis to respond and enlighten everyone with their takes. We’re not going to hold our breath waiting to be enlightened.
