Alen Smailagic took a different path to the NBA, deciding to play last season in the G-League at age 18.
The 6’10” Serbian center held his own and impressed the Warriors enough that they traded up to No. 39 in the second round to pick him. He’s currently playing in the Summer League.

Which he’s more than prepared for. Thanks to DeMarcus Cousins, who incessantly made fun of the big Serb. He even called him something no man wants to be called.
