DeAndre Hopkins, arguably the best receiver in the NFL, revealed the true reason he wears the No. 10. It turns out it’s not to honor soccer star Lionel Messi.
The true reason is to honor his cousin who spent 10 years in jail for $600 worth of drugs.
Obviously harsh punishment against African Americans is part of the injustices people are protesting against. And it makes his jersey tribute much more powerful of a message.
