Oilers defensemen Darnell Nurse and Islanders winger Anders Lee traded punches on Saturday after a vicious high stick. The fight took place in the second period of the Islanders 5-2 win over the Oilers.
Nurse and Lee were jockeying for position when Lee decided to hit Nurse in the face with his stick. The shot momentarily dropped Nurse before he got up and decided it was time to drop the gloves.
Nurse was able to get a pretty good shot on Lee as a form of repayment, but ended up eating a few uppercuts during the brief fight.
Something tells us this probably won’t be last time they throw down. After the fight ended it appeared that the two men still have some unfinished business to resolve.
