Daniel Cormier lost the UFC heavyweight belt on Saturday night when he was knocked out by Stipe Miocic. On Monday afternoon he responded to the loss with an emotional Instagram post.
DC apologized to the people he let down, thanked his fans and congratulated Miocic before admitting that he is contemplating retirement. At 40, and a former champ champ, he doesn’t have much left to prove.
If Cormier never stepped inside of the octagon again, he’ll still go down as one of the all-time greats.
