TMZ Sports caught up with UFC President Dana White and asked him what was next for Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. After denying a fight between McGregor and Donald Cerrone was going to happen, he addressed the potential Khabib vs Floyd Mayweather fight.
White says the only way a superfight between Khabib and Mayweather happens is if it’s in the UFC. He added if Mayweather wants $150 million he would have to come get his ass whooped for it.
“The answer is ‘no.’ He’s gonna have to come here and get his ass whoopin’,” White said … “We did that last time. You gotta come here this time.”
“Every time he wants to box. You wanna fight? Want to make 150 million? Come over here and get your ass whooped.”
So, unless someone gives in … this thing ain’t happening.
There’s no way Mayweather steps into the Octagon with full UFC rules. Is there?
Mayweather doesn’t want to lose a fight, even if it’s in MMA and even if it puts $150 million in his bank account. If White insists it will have to take place in the Octagon then this fight may never happen.
