Earlier this week the rumor of a Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor rematch made the rounds, and it would happen in the Octagon.
According to Dubai based journalist Omar Al Raisi, Mayweather vs McGregor II will eventually go down in the Octagon with a reinvented MMA rule-set.
Posting on his Twitter account, Al Raisi claimed that, although the fight would take place in the familiar setting of a UFC cage, there would be no kicks, no takedowns, no elbows or no knees allowed, essentially, it would be a boxing match in an Octagon with four-ounce gloves.
.@FloydMayweather will fight @TheNotoriousMMA in the octagon. With 4 ounce gloves, no shoes, 5-five minute rounds in 155 division.

Eventually the report made its way back to UFC head honcho Dana White, who so eloquently stated what he thinks about the potential mega-fight actually taking place in the octagon.
None of that is even close to true. Dumbest shit i have ever heard.

We know something is brewing between these two. McGregor knows fighting Mayweather is his only hope for a massive paycheck, otherwise he’ll be fighting for peanuts the rest of his career, that is in comparison to the Mayweather check. You never can tell what Dana White is really saying, when he’s actually saying something.
