Cubs second baseman Addison Russell was sent to Triple-A on Wednesday, days after he looked completely lost in a Major League Baseball game. On Saturday he missed two pop-ups, was thrown out at home on a ground ball, forgot to take a base on a wild pitch and was later doubled off of second base.
It turns out serving a suspension for domestic violence isn’t good for keeping your baseball skills as sharp as they need to be to compete at the MLB level. Who knew?
