Chicago Cubs pitcher Yu Darvish left Tuesday’s Cactus League game in the 5th inning on Tuesday with a blister on his ring finger. The 32-year-old has battled several injuries in his 7 year MLB career.
Darvish exiting the game after 3.2 innings. Was checked by Maddon, Hottovy and training staff before leaving. Looked like they were inspecting his hand. Possibly blister situation.

Darvish went 1-3 with a 4.95 ERA in just 8 games last season, his first with the Cubs. It’s a good thing Chicago signed him to a 6-year, $126 million contract prior to last season.
You would hate to have seen Darvish and his injuries go elsewhere. Who wouldn’t want to make $20+ million a season to constantly rehab?
You get the money, the MLB lifestyle and none of the pressure of actually having to take the field. It’s the best.
