Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras had an unfortunate incident on Wednesday night. The ball hit the dirt, bounced up and caught him in the groin.
The All-Star starter originally had the day off, but came in as a defensive replacement. We’re going to gather from the foul ball to the groin that he wouldn’t have minded having the entire game off.
As a catcher, the ball to the groin comes with the territory. Someone probably hit the ice tub after this one.
