Cristiano Ronaldo is now the most followed person on Instagram, having recently surpassed Selena Gomez.

As of press time, Ronaldo has 144,338,650 followers to Gomez’s 144,321,029.
The 33-year-old soccer star now has over 144 million followers.
Interesting fact though, Lionel Messi is the fastest person to reach 100 million followers on Instagram. He managed to do so with only 354 posts; the likes of Kim Kardashian needed 2672 photos to reach 100 million followers, Selena Gomez w/ 1025 photos, and Cristiano Ronaldo w/ 1477 photos.
