Veteran closer Craig Kimbrel has finally found a new team. The former Red Sox closer is headed back to the National League after agreeing to a 3-year, $45 million deal with the Cubs.
Kimbrel is coming off of a 42 save, World Series winning, season with the Red Sox. He was an All-Star selection in all of his three seasons in Boston.

Kimbrel didn’t quite take home the $100 million deal he was reportedly seeking, but $45 million isn’t anything to sneeze at. Neither is ending up on a team with a shot at a postseason run.
Winning is why they play the game, right?
