Rams receiver Cooper Kupp was taken down by a horse collar tackle on Sunday against the Broncos and had to be carted off the field. It happened on a jet sweep and appeared to have taken place both out of bounds and after a facemask.

Hopefully Cupp was able to avoid a serious injury. The way he went down and the fact that he was carted off aren’t good signs.
Injuries like the one Cupp suffered on Sunday are exactly why the horse collar tackle is no longer legal.
