The Chargers appear to be prepared to call running back Melvin Gordon’s bluff. A couple of weeks ago he asked to be traded by the team if he wasn’t given a new contract by week 1. He also threatened to holdout in order to get the new deal.
According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, San Diego is willing to put his holdout threat to the test. This could be a dangerous cat and mouse game for Gordon to play.
Le’Veon Bell played the game with the Steelers and they found out they didn’t need him anymore. Sure he ended up getting a new deal with the Jets, but it wasn’t the amount he wanted.
