This is getting bad.
McGregor tweeted a picture of Nurmagomedov on his wedding day in which the fighter’s partner has a veil covering her face, a tradition in Muslim culture.
The tweet was captioned: “Your wife is a towel mate.”
McGregor quickly deleted the tweet but not before it was retweeted thousands of times with many accusing the MMA fighter of Islamophobia.

Nurmagomedov has a son and a daughter with his wife, whose name remains a mystery.
Nurmagomedov said in October:
“I no understand how people can talk about I jump on cage – he talk about my religion, he talk about my country, he talk about my father.”
Conor knows how to push Khabib’s buttons, which will be awesome if we can one day see a rematch.
Khabib is going to kill him.
