Conor McGregor is actually fighting this weekend, which means more talk about his former foe.
McGregor will make his highly anticipated return this Saturday against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in UFC 246, but it’s another one of his past opponents who’s managing to make headlines ahead of the big event.
In August of 2017, the 31-year-old took on Floyd Mayweather in the boxing ring, and apparently the two were also supposed to throw down in the octagon.

In a recent interview with ESPN, McGregor revealed there were verbal agreements in place for the two to compete in an MMA fight.
He’s no longer pushing the matter, however, the Dublin native would like a rematch in Mayweather’s sport.
