Conor McGregor has signed a new six-fight deal with the UFC, president Dana White told ESPN on Thursday.

The deal includes McGregor’s new whiskey, Proper Whiskey, as a sponsor in every UFC event in which McGregor fights.

While full terms of the deal were not disclosed, McGregor is expected to continue his reign as the highest paid athlete on the UFC roster.

In addition to his new contract that will kick off with his fight against Nurmagomedov at UFC 229, McGregor also added a clause to his deal that will promote his new signature whiskey ‘Proper No. 12’ during all of his fights.

‘Proper No. 12’ will serve as an official sponsor for all of McGregor’s fights on this new deal with placement inside the Octagon as well as other events in the days leading up to his performances.

McGregor will receive a base paycheck for all of his fights and the first figures from that contract will be revealed in October when he competes at UFC 229. The Nevada State Athletic Commission releases all salary figures for the fighters competing in the state.

McGregor’s last reported payday at UFC 202 back in 2016 was for $3 million flat for his win over Nate Diaz. Of course, McGregor also received a much bigger payout from the pay-per-view profits from the fight.

The new deal will see McGregor likely get paid even more up front as well as another massive slice of pay-per-view revenue. Good decision by the UFC, he’s clearly their biggest star.
