Dak didn’t get his wish. He wanted McCarthy to stay in Dallas, but it was announced today, he’s gone. This will put a lot more on Dak’s plate going forward. Maybe he’ll get to talk to potential HC candidates?
Once the new coaches are hired, there is no contact with players until OTAs. Teams with new coaches can start on April 7. That’s less than 3 months. Dak and everyone else on offense will have to learn a new playbook. I’m sure he’ll be spending at least double the time other players do to get familiar with a new QB coach, new OC and new HC. Building a new house? Waiting for another baby? Scheduled to be at a couple of charity galas? It’s football first. Another stressful year coming up.
