@bugaboo Interesting. I like the back and forth. I have to agree with the ones who've been ride or die since NB. They know more than the newbies commenting. Time will tell for the "lovebirds".
I know I'm not crazy. I went on Insta and Dak had posted the engagement as a post and then I went to his actual page and it's gone now. What is really going on? And I can't believe SJ hasn't said anything. Dak proposed on a golf course and then posted some more pics. I'm assuming it was a celebration but now he has deleted it. Is this PR's doing or what? Waiting to see if it shows back up.

I had the same thing happen. All back for me. He proposed on the Palace grounds. There is some golf greens there. It’s the only place he could make sure he had privacy. I don’t buy her “surprised” look. And an engagement party was at the Cowboys Club.
She just happened to have a conservative white dress with coat and boots. No real surprise. The dress looks a little tight, but can’t tell if it’s from a baby or just the dress. The ring was @$1 million. I would be terrified to wear it. Why let the jeweler do an interview with NY Post. So now he’s pissed off more people with the price of the ring.
On other fronts, NB was doing her modeling gig so has pics in wedding gowns. Waiting to see what Dak’s fam comments on the announcement. Very very strange that only Dak posted anything. Says who is calling the shots right now.

A million?? Omg. NFL and ESPN posted the engagement and the people are relentless with the "that's the only ring he'll get". If he loses this season, his fans are done. At least he will have MJ. Can't say much for SJ.
I agree about how she just happened to be wearing that dress and boots. She knew already and the photo person had to make sure he captured it perfectly..
NB really looks good in the wedding dresses. Hopefully she will find her man one day so she can wear one of those for real.

Gentleman’s Playbook on Twitter has a couple of pics from the engagement party. SJ does show a bit of a belly, but can’t tell if it’s what is normal after having a baby or there’s a baby #2 coming. If there’s another baby announcement the “they’re so in love” will lose steam. Then it’ll be “well at least they’re getting married.” We will know in the next month or so if she’s pregnant or not.
I firmly believe this marriage is for MJ and Dak’s image. He can tell MJ if it doesn’t work out at least they tried. I don’t see him spending every minute either at the Star or in Fairview. He has to have his own place near the Star for convenience and whatever else he wants. I’m sure SJ will pass it off as just easier for him on busy days.
Leopards don’t change their spots and I doubt he’s done cheating. Dak loves attention so the party was probably more for him than her. She better get used to it cause that isn’t changing.
Did a little thinking overnight about this engagement. It was Dak’s engagement. It was not their engagement. He dropped the story, nothing from her, then he dropped the pics about 8 hours later with his “heartfelt” comment. Yes, the pics were put on her site, but she has no comment about it. She posted a lame comment on a story. Isn’t this supposed to be one of the happiest day of your life?
I saw a video from @Johnie_the_realtor at the engagement party. They walked in with Dak carrying MJ. SJ walks over to talk with some guests and Dak makes some little speech. People surround him and there’s SJ well off to the side. She started to move back towards him as he stopped talking. That was all about him. That’s exactly how their life will be.
Judy, you thought the announcement looked rushed. Maybe. Last night Dak was in the stadium at MSU. He’s there with Fred Ross and Damian for the 2014 team to be honored. SJ is there……..standing off to one side. Yeah, Dak wanted to get the engagement/media over with so he could spend time with his football bros. Bet he never even considered doing the engagement this weekend.
In his comment about SJ, he lists job titles. Nothing really about a woman he says he loves. He sees her as someone filling roles. He doesn’t respect her. She played her hand right away with pregnant and moving to DFW. He was able to manipulate her easily. No job, career, no $ of her own. Really typical of many powerful men. I wonder if she thought living away from the Star area would have him more focused on her. Nice quiet family type neighborhood vs. team HQ with restaurants, hotel etc. She knows how he flirts/sleeps around. This is one reason I’m sure he has a place to live near the Star. He doesn’t love her, he likes her a lot, has fun with her…….that’s just a good buddy.
I wonder if Dak’s controlling nature caused the breakup with NB? She had her own condo and plenty of $. She wasn’t reliant on him like SJ is. Then there’s the whole issue with MJ. Wonder if anyone has mentioned this to SJ? Bet she’s telling herself he will change. NO he won’t SJ. He has no reason to change. He has to be the guy in charge with the team 24/7. He probably doesn’t even understand there is another way to be in a relationship. He doesn’t care about her enough to want to change.
SJ will get texts from him that he can’t be home for various reasons and even if she suspects he’s cheating, what’s she going to do about it?
I get the feeling not everyone on Dak’s side is happy about the engagement. Nothing from Uncle Phil. He’s on FB only and nothing. I doubt KP would be happy—-didn’t see anything from her. Tad’s congrats was “luke warm.” I can’t believe Dak is fine with his family not happy.
Some NEWS from LSA. In the thread about the engagement, someone mentioned that NB and SJ were buddies growing up in Tampa!! Apparently, SJ was hooking up with Dak occasionally behind NBs back and then moved in once they broke up. Wow! Explains how she knew who to be friends with etc. Also explains that she didn’t appear out of nowhere……he knew her.
Also explains why she’s triggered by NB! Likely the cheating contributed to NB breaking up with Dak. SJ is such a fool. Why won’t he cheat on her? He will.

Dak is definitely the one going behind the girls backs and DM'ing and talking to them and then they decide it's a good idea to go behind their friends back and hook up with him. How long before he likes a girl that SJ hangs with and see if this "marriage" will last or even get to that point.

And poor Holly just follows along. Her message was a bit longer than Tad's. Sorry to say but Holly got it wrong when she said "never seen two people more made for each other". Come on she has to know SJ planned all this. It was too easy. They barely made a year since the hookup and all of a sudden their in love. Waiting for the love to fade.

Lauren Holly. I looked her up. Lol I always thought the seriousness of her Dak relationship was exaggerated, but yeah, NB swooped in and Lauren was history. I followed her for awhile and her life hasn’t been a fairy tale. She “fell in love” with some guy from Idaho, got pregnant, moved to Idaho, broke up, had a little girl and has been a single mom. Looks like a new guy in her life. Her life is pretty bland.
I think one reason he jumps to a friend is because she’s known. He has been around the friend enough to see if he likes her, checks her out etc. I would think it would bother him that he’s fine with someone cheating on a friend. What it shows is that the girl has no loyalty. And that’s exactly what SJ is. She doesn’t care who she hurts as long as she gets the prize.
The IG world isn’t real, but people like SJ believe it is. She’s prototypical for narcissistic personality disorder which can mimic bipolar disorder. People like this don’t stand out on IG because a lot of others are the same.

Phil buys season tickets most years, but this is the 1st time I’ve seen him sell all of these tickets. He said his job (middle/high school teacher coach) plus working on a new house have sucked up all of his time. He indicated he will be in the suite for Thanksgiving. That will be the 1st game he’s been to this year.
I understand he has a 4 hour drive to Dallas, but he helped raise Dak so not going to any game or mentioning the engagement is out of character. He posted a couple pics of MJ when she was born and pics when he got to meet her, but that’s it. He and wife were at the FFF gala, but haven’t seen him back since. I’m betting he and other family members could see exactly what SJ was all about from day 1. You’re right, he is a straight shooter and by saying nothing, he’s said a lot.

Not sure if you have seen the engagement video. It’s on her Tik Tok account (of course) and @d4ktoday. It’s nothing special and sooo short. Guess Dak had a workout to get to? Her buddy, Chris Flora comes to TX to do that? And her photog buddy from Tampa did the pics. They were ok, but nothing special. This is supposed to be a special day all about the couple and it was meh. My question again is, there’s nobody in DFW that could do that? 42?

Ok, I understand doing this on the bye week and they only had Mon-Thursday to work with since Dak had his football reunion on the weekend. SJs bday is in a few weeks so why not wait? She had a bday party/baby shower last year and he had a game. The only reason I can think to rush is because she’s pregnant.
I don’t believe this was any surprise. I can’t see Dak picking out the onesie for MJ. They just happened to be wearing white for the proposal and party? SJ wearing white is a huge insult to any real virgins.

Unless she's still working through her pregnancy tummy, she looks preggers to me. My guess is she was holding a glass of sparkling cider at the party.
Dak is creating mad distractions for himself, right at the most crucial point of their season. They have a juggernaut of a schedule coming up, which it's plausible they lose ALL of the next 5 games.
At the same time, he's coordinating the demo and construction of his mansion (a massive distraction on its own), a wedding and possibly a second child.
To me, because it all seems to rushed, all of this points to her being pregnant again.
