Thompson and a woman got into an argument around 8 p.m. Saturday in Stokely Hall dormitory on the University of Tennessee-Knoxville campus, according to court records.
Thompson told the woman he would “slap the (expletive) out of you,” witnesses told police. Two witnesses told police they heard him threaten to “shoot up the school,” according to an arrest warrant.
Thompson denied making any threats.
“We are aware of the situation and are waiting for additional information while the appropriate processes take place,” a UT spokesperson told the News Sentinel on Sunday morning.
