Leah Pearl became famous as a preteen for being carried in her father’s arms off the Wolstein Center playing floor in Cleveland after Wisconsin-Milwaukee won its 2005 NCAA Tournament second-round game to advance to the Sweet 16.
The moment was part of the annual CBS “One Shining Moment” video following the 2005 national championship game. Now she’s all grown up, and officially off her father’s payroll., figuratively speaking. Leah got married to Stephon Ball this past weekend in Knoxville Tennessee.
Check out some pics from their wedding below:
Bruce Pearl is still one of college basketball’s most famous coaches. He’ll always have job security, and his daughter seems like she’s in good hands. Congrats to Bruce on his daughter Leah’s marriage.
Pleased to announce we've extended the contract of @coachbrucepearl to lead @AuburnMBB through 2023.#WarEagle https://t.co/tJLOHbUi5a
