Cleveland Indians fans hurled insults at Native Americans and others demonstrating against Chief Wahoo during the team’s home opener. This is the true face of the Trump supporting, MAGA crowd.
As they have for 25 years, people gathered outside Progressive Field during opening day to protest the team’s name and Chief Wahoo logo, which they say are racist and dishonor the heritage of indigenous people.
Some fans seemed resigned to the change, acknowledging that Chief Wahoo will be disappearing from team uniforms next year.
“What do you want?” two separate fans asked. “You already won.”
