Matthews sent out a tweet thanking those who wished him well and saying his nose will need surgery when the swelling goes down. There’s no word on whether or not the injury will impact any of his off-season work with the Packers.
Thank you for all the concern and well-wishes. I busted my nose pretty good and will have surgery once the swelling subsides. Thankful as it could have been much more serious ??????

Matthews donated a little more than he bargained for during the charity event. Let’s hope this doesn’t affect any of his hair related activities.
