Green Bay Packers linebacker Clay Matthews took a line drive to the face while pitching in a charity softball game. He was momentarily knocked off of his feet and immediately left the game.
Ian Rapaport is reporting that Matthews is believed to have suffered a broken nose, but is being evaluated at a hospital.
#Packers LB Clay Matthews is headed to the ER after being hit by a line drive in a charity softball game. The belief now is it’s just a broken nose, but he’s having a full workup to be sure. Scary situation, and if it’s just the nose, it could have been much worse.

No word on whether or not his hair was wet during the charity game or if it is wet at the hospital. As soon as we get an update we’ll share it.
