Former NFL quarterback Chris Simms told the story of the time Vince Wilfork hit him in the pelvic area and left his genitals bruised.  He said it was the only game, other than his infamous spleen game, that he was sore during the game.

“My genitals were purple and yellow for like two weeks,” Simms explained. “Can you imagine that? Taking off your pants and it’s like the L.A. Lakers down there.”

I’d say purple and yellow genitals might leave one feeling pretty sore.  It doesn’t sound like Simms was very good at avoiding big hits.  

Simms might have played a little bit longer had he figured that part of the game out.
