Red Sox ace Chris Sale was forced to leave his final Spring Training start after taking a line drive off of his hip. The last start of the spring isn’t the best time for a potential injury to occur.
Sale was knocked down by the liner and seemed to have a slight limp after he made it back to his feet.

The Red Sox are hopeful that Sale will be able to make his Opening Day start. The reports are that he only suffered bruise and there is no fracture in his hip.
