Veteran guard Chris Paul is now expected to start the season in Oklahoma City for the Thunder. The 34-year-old and the Thunder had been attempting to find a willing trade partner, but up to this point, none has materialized.
With no trade partner the two sides seem to be resigned to the fact that CP3 will play at least next season out in OKC. He has one of the worst contracts in the sports.
Next season, Paul will make $38,506,482 next season, in 2020-21 he’ll take home another $41,358,814. The deal has a $44,211,146 player option in 2021-22. Good luck moving this contract.
