Whichever event you are attending to cheer on the Bulldogs, here is a quick guide to help you plan for your event.

Where to Stay

So you are probably searching online for hotels near Fresno State at the moment. You are looking for something that is nearby but isn’t too close where college students may interrupt your sleep at night. You are looking for a hotel that has spacious modern rooms, free parking, and free internet access. Well, look no further! There are a few options that meet your needs in Fresno.

One good choice would be to stay at the Hyatt Place Fresno. The Hyatt Place Fresno offers guests everything you want in a hotel and then some. On top of the modern amenities they offer, they also have 24/7 dining, a fitness center, and an indoor pool. With just a 10 to 12-minute drive to the local stadiums, you’ll be close to the action without being too close, so you can get a goodnight’s rest after the event.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Fresno Convention Center is another popular option. It’s right in the heart of downtown, giving you easy access to everything that’s going on. It offers free Wi-Fi, a toothsome on-site restaurant, and a decked-out 24-hour fitness center.

Transportation

If you are flying in from out of town, then you will probably be arriving at Fresno Yosemite International Airport. You can book a rental car at the airport from Avis, Enterprise, Hertz, and more. If you prefer taking mass transit, then you can use Fresno Public Transportation (FAX) to get to the event and surrounding areas. FAX offers affordable day passes and is a good alternative option for transportation.

Where to Eat

As a college city, Fresno has no shortages of food options for students, athletes, and visitors alike. Near the event, you will find the standard fast-food fare like Panda Express, Subway, Taco Bell, and a Robertito’s Taco all within close proximity to one another. Other nearby establishments on the same side include Popeyes, Wendy’s, Chipotle, Old Spaghetti Factory, and Black Angus Steakhouse. On the other side, you have access to Starbucks, Don Pepe Taqueria, Jasmine Garden, Dog House Grill, Jack in the Box, Buffalo Wild Wings, and more.

Other Attractions

Whether you are traveling solo or with the family, there are several other attractions in the area to entertain or wind down from the sport-filled action. Between the airport and the event, you can play a round of mini-golf, paintball, ride go-karts, and play in the arcade at Blackbeard’s Family Entertainment. On the other side of the airport, there is a science play spot for children at The Discovery Center.

If you like museums, there is the Fresno Art Museum or Arte Americas to enjoy. For nature lovers, you can enjoy the gardens at Shinzen Friendship Garden or at Fort Miller, where you can also catch a glimpse of the historic Millerton Courthouse.
