“I love LeBron and everything about him, but I do think the way they play the game today, [James] didn’t want any part of those ‘Bad Boy’ Pistons,” Barkley said.
Barkley played against the Pistons, who won two NBA Championships in a row before Jordan began his run. For what it’s worth, “Bad Boy” members Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer have both said they’d take LeBron over MJ in the G.O.A.T. debate.
