The Los Angeles Chargers listed quarterback Justin Herbert as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Herbert aggravated an ankle injury late in last weekend’s contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a limited participant in practice throughout the week.
The 26-year-old completed 12 of 18 attempts for 125 yards and one touchdown before exiting in Week 3. Taylor Heinicke filled in for Herbert and completed both of his attempts for 24 yards.
Rookie offensive tackle Joe Alt was also listed as questionable. He didn’t practice all week after sustaining an MCL injury a week ago. Head coach Jim Harbaugh refused to comment on the severity of Alt’s ailment earlier this week.
In addition to Alt, fellow offensive tackle Rashawn Slater was ruled out against the reigning Super Bowl champions with a pectoral injury. The Chargers will also be without Joey Bosa (hip) and linebacker Junior Colson (hamstring).
