During the contract negotiations with Tony Romo, CBS reportedly reached out to fellow retired quarterback Peyton Manning about replacing Romo.
Romo and CBS eventually came to terms on a record setting 10-year, $180 million. The offer to Manning was reportedly in the $10 to $12 million range.
