ESPN’s Cari Champion shared her thoughts on Laura Ingraham’s “shut up and dribble” comments aimed at LeBron James.
Champion told the Sports Illustrated Media Podcast that Ingraham’s comments pissed her off and that she essentially said “shut up n-word.”
“I was furious, I was angry, I was pissed off. I was all the things that everybody else was that watched that. She essentially, to me, said, “shut up, n-word.” I really didn’t like how it came across. It hit my spirits really, really hard. Because that is exactly what LeBron was talking about the entire car ride. That’s exactly what KD was talking about the entire car ride.”
It looks like ESPN employees have found a way to speak out without running into issues with the social media policy.
