The Cardinals landed star receiver DeAndre Hopkins from the Texans in a deal that was so bad Madden rejected it. He hasn’t played a down for Arizona yet and they already want him around longer than the three years left on his deal.
According to team chairman Michael Bidwell, Cardinals GM Steve Keim has already had initial contract talks with Hopkins. The 27-year-old isn’t going to come cheap.
Hopkins is reportedly seeking a deal in the $20 million a year range.
